why Kaplan (ensign) and Marie Kaplan are they separate ? how to know they are 2 characters and not same one ? C-IMZADI-4 16:52, September 18, 2009 (UTC)

From the Kaplan (Ensign) article:

There were two Ensigns named Kaplan on Voyager, Ensign Marie Kaplan having died in 2373.

The other ensign was talked about as alive in 2374. -- sulfur 17:49, September 18, 2009 (UTC)
