Talk:Marta
From Memory Alpha, the free Star Trek reference
- "He showed her mercy by blowing her to bits demonstrating a new explosive, instead of letting her choke to death."
Wow, wasn't that nice of him! Is 'mercy' the right word? --68.111.167.39 00:47, 22 May 2007 (UTC)
- In this case, since it is "he showed mercy", it has to be what he considered to be merciful. The line from the episode was:
- GARTH: "But I've arranged a more merciful end for her because after all, Captain, she is my consort. One tiny crystal implanted in her necklace, a portion of this explosive no bigger than a grain of sand. I propose to detonate it from here."
- So in his mind, it was indeed more merciful. --OuroborosCobra talk 00:56, 22 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Slave girl?
She is never once referred to as anyone's slave, nor is it implied she's anything but Garth's consort. It is only clear that she's of the Orion race. I request the "slave girl" part be left out. --Jovan the Un1337 07:25, 16 February 2008 (UTC)
