Talk:Mess hall

From Memory Alpha, the free Star Trek reference

[edit] Menu?

Soda, Coffee, Hot Tea, and I believe Hot cocoa were among the selections aboard the Ent (NX-01)'s messhall, can anyone read the others? There's a drink replicator in Ents mess hall that has the above and a couple others, and there was an ep in Season 2 where you can see them pretty clearly, but I don't remember which. You may also want to check the episode where T'Pol replicates chocolate goop instead of "carbonated water" i think it was. It would make a good table somewhere.- The preceding unsigned comment was added by 156.63.113.54 (talk).

[edit] Mess call

Is there a way for the "mess call" reference to be worked into the article rather than looking like a disambiguation? --OuroborosCobra talk 03:47, 6 October 2008 (UTC)

Probabaly can merge it. The sole mention of this, in all of Star Trek was the single converstation in "The Apple" which lasted less than 5 seconds. -FC 04:00, 6 October 2008 (UTC)

[edit] NX-Class mess hall a redress of Voyager mess hall set?

Looking at the pictures here in this article, and having recently seen a number of Voyager episodes (but not any of ENT yet), the picture of the NX-Class mess hall immediately struck me as being exactly the same shape and size as Voyager's mess hall, just with some slightly re-shaped windows. Does anyone know for sure that this was a redress of the Voyager set? Thanks, -Mdettweiler 04:35, November 8, 2009 (UTC)

There's probably similarities, but I find it unlikely, I believe the sets from Star Trek: Voyager were struck after filming had wrapped. In fact, I seem to remember several cast interviews from Voyager that sets started coming down pretty much the second someone said "cut" on the final scenes. --Terran Officer 06:01, November 8, 2009 (UTC)

Yes, I recall that too. However, I have to wonder if that didn't apply to the mess hall, which would be a highly versatile set and probably could be easily adapted for Enterprise (not so for the bridge, engineering, etc.) Otherwise, it would be one heck of a coincidence for them to be sized and shaped so identically, and even the braces on the wall by the windows are in the same place as their NX-Class counterparts. -Mdettweiler 15:09, November 8, 2009 (UTC)
