A tricky canonical question to note here. Does something which can only be established to exist in a holodeck "count" as a part of the "real" historical record, or should it be clearly noted to have only been seen in a fictional holodeck program? The way this article stands now, it seems to be giving credence to the real-life Herald even though it's not known to have existed in the "real" Star Trek time line. I don't believe there is any evidence to suggest that this was a real newspaper; in fact, it seems there is more evidence to suggest that it is not, as the program it is in is a work of fiction(Dixon Hill) not a historical representation. Unless something else establishes it as a part of reality, I think we must assume that it was not real. 31dot 12:43, 23 October 2007 (UTC)

Or we can assume it was real, since the San Francisco Herald does exist. This kind of ties in with the discussion at Talk:George W. Bush. However, a line stating that it was not seen in the "real world" of Trek and only on the holodeck may be necessary. --From Andoria with Love 04:15, 26 October 2007 (UTC)
