Talk:Ship of the Line

From Memory Alpha, the free Star Trek reference

Is this level of detail—for a novel—appropriate for Memory Alpha, or should most of it be moved to Memory Beta? —MJBurrageTALK • 18:09, 8 February 2007 (UTC)

I don't see a real problem with this much detail, as long as it's not linking non-canon material it should be fine. - Enzo Aquarius 18:12, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
I don't mind having this level of detail. It does not hurt Memory Alpha. It would seem more appropriate for Memory Beta, though. My big problem with this article is the section titles. I have a widescreen, and even with that the TOC runs all the way across. This is not at all pleasing. Section titles should be short and concise. If you need more detail, make it in an opening sentence of the section. --OuroborosCobra talk 18:15, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
Totally agree -- each chapter should be named "chapter XX" -- not "chapter XX in XX ship on XX sector" or whatever. -- Captain M.K.B. 18:26, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
The prose style of the summary is also pretty awkward. Some sentences just go on and on and on and on and on and on. Due to this and the issues mentioned above, I tagged it. I'd revise it myself but I never read this book. Gonk (Gonk!) 16:11, 19 May 2007 (UTC)
