What's the basis for listing Sonak as an Enterprise first officer? The film clearly states that he was to be the science officer, but I recall no reference to him as the ship's first officer as well.--12.162.189.80 20:24, 7 July 2006 (UTC)

Sonak was never stated in film to be the first officer. Decker was the XO and the Decker article even says that he was already the XO and had to take over science officer duties when Sonak died. --Kevin W. ^Tlk 04:59, 11 April 2007 (UTC)
