[edit] T'Pol as T'Pau

Originally, the character of T'Pol on Star Trek: Enterprise was intended to be a younger version of T'Pau, but this was later abandoned (possibly due to the name being currently used by musicians unrelated to the series).

I thought they abandoned this idea because implementing it would have meant having to pay royalties to the writer(s) of "Amok Time", who created the character of T'Pau.

I've never heard that particular argument, and as far as I know of it's only ever been used with "Nicholas Locarno"/"Tom Paris." But since they ended up using T'Pau later, it doesn't seem so. Also, the band theory doesn't seem very likely either. I think they just didn't so they could have more options with the character. - AJ Halliwell 20:26, 22 July 2006 (UTC)

Also, they couldn't use storylines that make it appear as though she's done for without the audience saying, "Oh, I know she's going to survive" without messing up continuity. (Pregnant Pause) oh, wait.... Tiberius 10:43, 28 October 2006 (UTC)
