one can hardly call Guinan a recurring character, personally i consider a part of the cast and crew, despite my request to be named a guest star (I was being modest), Guinan has been an important part of the plot on numerous occasions, and she is the bartender of ten forward! I guess one may argue that she is a recurring character because she is not in every episode, but i believe her to be a main character.
