Audio/visual unsynchronized: During Act II, after meeting with Picard and Troi, Crusher is dismissed and proceeds to exit the Ready Room. When he does so, the sound effect of the doors opening and closing is not heard, but Picard obviously pauses as if waiting for the door to open and close before continuing his conversation alone with Troi.

[edit] Real world comparison

Was the theme of this epsiode supposed to be based on present day conflicts-such as between various peoples in the Middle East?

It is possible, as the episode took place in the middle of the First Intifada, but it always struck me as being more like the the Northern Ireland conflict, which was still almost 4 years from the cease fire. The Intifada was a fairly new conflict at that point, people had not grown up with it, while the conflict in the episode was one that people had been fighting for 70 years, more like the conflict in Northern Ireland. There are other parallels as well. Granted, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict had been brewing for some time, but it did not parallel the type of violence and fighting seen in this episode until about the First Intifada, while the one in Northern Ireland had been like this for a very long time. --OuroborosCobra ^talk 14:32, 27 February 2007 (UTC)

The summary is horribly written and should be redone. I am not sure what happened here. Most articles on this site are well written.
