Talk:The Waters
From Memory Alpha, the free Star Trek reference
Why is this article called 'monean waterworld" and not it's canonical name (according to the article) the Waters? Capricorn 10:40, 17 July 2007 (UTC)
- I concur, it should probably be named "The Waters". --From Andoria with Love 02:50, 18 July 2007 (UTC)
Scientifically, this world is rather bizarre. Not the idea of a planet composed entirely of water, mind. That could occur naturally, and certainly could occur by a species with the technology to take all their water into space. But the water would accrete naturally into a spherical shape due to gravity and it would hold that shape indefinitely, even if it evaporated. Basically, the whole idea of the planet needing a containment field shows ignorance of one of the most basic scientific laws, that of gravity. 72.70.226.143 12:29, 15 September 2008 (UTC)
- I'm more interested in why the hell a civilization would do that.--KrossTransmit on Holonet? 01:30, 21 May 2009 (UTC)
