Since space is completely noncorrosive to a ship's hull, the factors that limit a ship's useful life in Earth's saltwater oceans, which corrode metal via electrolysis, are completely eliminated.

I removed this text because while it is true as far as it goes, it gives a misleading impression because there are other factors that might weaken the ship's hull over time, including: micrometeor damage, thermal warping due to repeated heating/cooling, and radiation-induced metal fatigue.
