From Memory Alpha, the free Star Trek reference

I was visiting McGuill Univerisity recently for a campus tour, and my tour guide informed me that the reason the name was never changed to the "Shatner Building" is that Shatner never graduated. Apparently he was several credits short, and left without a degree. However, this has been contradicted by many biographies, including the one on A&E. ANyone have any more info?
