Talpet was a member of the Bajoran Militia and one of Constable Odo's deputies aboard Deep Space 9.

In 2375, Talpet called Dr. Bashir down to the airlock while Garak was having a claustrophobic breakdown and attempted to blow himself out the airlock. (DS9: "Afterimage")
