Tantalus V is the fifth planet of the Tantalus star system and was the site of the Tantalus colony in the late 23rd century. (TOS: "Dagger of the Mind")
According to the Star Trek Encyclopedia, Tantalus V was "named for the Greek mythic figure who stole ambrosia from the tables of the gods, feeding it to mortals."
