A taxicab (also, taxi and/or cab) is a form of public transport vehicle where patrons pay to be taken to requested destinations.
After following an image of Willie Hawkins through a door, Captain Benjamin Sisko found himself in the middle of a Prophet-induced vision of a busy New York street and was almost immediately hit by a taxi. (DS9: "Far Beyond the Stars")
When the HMS Bounty went back in time to 1986, James T. Kirk was nearly hit by a Cab Co. taxi. (Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home)
