Guidelines
- There is no nomination process at this time, just find a red link in the box to the right, and pick an interesting Memory Alpha image. The general image rules apply: properly named, cited, and with correct license boilerplate.
- Fill in 1, 8, 15, 22, and 29 first, because those are fall-back positions for days that have no picture defined yet (Pic of the Week, in that case).
- Each page should consist only of a template call to {{PicOfTheDay/Pic}}.
- If the image is a screen cap, make sure it is good-quality, as in nothing over-cropped, brightened, grainy, or low-res.
- Normal 4:3 screen-caps should be 300px wide. 16:9 screen caps (ENT and films) can be wider, 400-450px. Pick a width that makes the height around 200-250 with a maximum of 300.
- Pick something somewhat unique, visually appealing, interesting, and/or, important.
- Consider what day the picture is placed on, like {{PicOfTheDay/11 October}}, but this is the least important consideration. The picture chosen should be interesting on any day. Picture of the Day is about the pictures more than it is about the days. Also, it's more important to make a Trek-universe connection to a day than a real universe one.
- Please note that this is not a funny caption contest. It is about the pictures, and they should be interesting even if there is no caption shown. Please, however, ensure that there is an informative and simple caption on the image, complete with a proper citation.
