Temporal agent
From Memory Alpha, the free Star Trek reference
A temporal agent is someone associated with a faction of the Temporal Cold War. These time-traveling agents can enact great changes to the timeline.
Temporal agents were often in conflict with each other, mainly due to differing reactions to the Temporal Accord. If one faction of agents attempted to alter a series of events in the past, another faction would try to prevent the other faction from succeeding.
The 22nd century became a hot bed for temporal agent activity. Captain Jonathan Archer and the crew of the Enterprise NX-01 often became involved in a conflict between temporal agents from the 29th and 31st centuries.
Known temporal agents include:
- Daniels, Human (United Federation of Planets)
- Mysterious humanoid figure, species and affiliation unknown
- Silik, Suliban (Suliban Cabal)
- Vosk, Na'kuhl
The Tholians were also associated with the temporal agents in some fashion, as they attempted to lay claim to a time pod from the 31st century in 2152.
In 1944 of an alternate timeline, where the Na'kuhl had sided with the Nazis to aid them to victory in World War II, Vosk suspected that Travis Mayweather and Charles Tucker, two crewmen aboard the NX-01 Enterprise, were temporal agents.
