Theseus was a figure in Greek mythology. He managed to overcome the labyrinth at Crete and defeated the Minotaur.
When the Leonardo Da Vinci-hologram and Catarina searched a way out of Tau's facilities, Da Vinci claimed that not even Theseus could have overcome that labyrinth. (VOY: "Concerning Flight")
