Tillman Water Reclamation Plant

A frequently-filmed Star Trek location is the Japanese Gardens Suiho-En at the Donald C. Tillman Water Reclamation Plant in Van Nuys, Los Angeles, Southern California. Many episodes featuring Starfleet Headquarters and Starfleet Academy were shot at this site, completed with matte backgrounds to fit in with 24th century San Francisco. The place has also stood in for various other planets.
