Todd Matthews was an early 21st century novelist and author of Hotel Royale. He was a low-level writer known for using cliched characters and overall bad writing. A copy of his novel was brought aboard the NASA shuttle Charybdis in 2037 by Colonel Stephen G. Richey. (TNG: "The Royale")
