Torrey was a hologram, based on B'Elanna Torres, that was a character in a holonovel written by the Doctor entitled Photons Be Free.
She was very hard on her team in engineering, constantly insulting them. She refused to allow the EMH character to enter into engineering, and told the EMH that it was a tool, and could be replaced. She was married to Marseilles, a character based on Tom Paris. (VOY: "Author, Author")
Torrey was played by Roxann Dawson.
