In an alternate timeline, Torvin was a resident of the planet Gaia and a descendant of crewmembers from the USS Defiant. He was noted for having ridges on his forehead, suggesting he was probably a descendant of Lt. Cmdr. Worf. (DS9: "Children of Time")

Torvin was only mentioned in dialog and did not appear on-screen.
