Trans-spectral imager
From Memory Alpha, the free Star Trek reference.
A trans-spectral imager was a 21st century sensor device.
The Ares IV was equipped with a trans-spectral imager during the first manned mission to Mars in 2032. After the command module was engulfed in a graviton ellipse, Lieutenant John Kelly left the imager on to collect as much data as possible before the power systems failed, in the hopes it would be usefull to whomever found it. Three centuries later, the USS Voyager discovered the Ares IV and downloaded the data obtained from the imager in 2376. (VOY: "One Small Step")
