Trelka V is the fifth planet of the Trelka system, inside Cardassian space.
During the Dominion War, a Dominion starbase, which had a garrison of 10,000, was located on its surface and a Cardassian drydock was in orbit.
The starbase was the first target struck by General Martok's cavalry raid in 2375. Among the starships in Martok's fleet were the IKS Ch'Tang, IKS Orantho, IKS Ning'tao, IKS Malpara, and IKS Slivin.
General Martok sent two Birds-of-Prey to attack the Trelka V base. After they had caused damage, the two ships attempted to leave the star system. However, one was destroyed by a Cardassian Galor-class ship. While the Cardassians pursued the remaining ship, the rest of Martok's small fleet attacked the base again, catching them as they were attempting to repair the base.
A full-out assault on the Trelka V starbase would have required half of the Ninth Fleet in order to destroy the base. (DS9: "Once More Unto the Breach")
