Tyrannosaurus rex was an Earth dinosaur that lived in the Cretaceous period.
Doctor Noonien Soong was very fond of dinosaurs and kept a Tyrannosaurus skull and some small models of the dinosaur in his laboratory on Terlina III. (TNG: "Brothers")
