The USS Bellerophon was a Nebula-class starship that was in service during the latter half of the 24th century.
In 2367, the Bellerophon participated in the battle against the Borg at Wolf 359. It engaged the attacking Borg cube, alongside the starship USS Yamaguchi, at the time the cube had tractored the USS Saratoga. It was ultimately destroyed in the battle along with 38 other starships. (DS9: "Emissary")
- The Star Trek Encyclopedia assigns this vessel the registry NCC-62048, but also misspells the name as "Bellerephon". It is unknown at this time whether the name and registry were labeled on the studio model, however it seems likely that they were. This also raises the question whether the typographical error misspelling the name originated in the Encyclopedia, or another backstage source.
