USS Maryland

The USS Maryland was a Federation starship in service during the latter half of the 24th century.

The Maryland was one of the starships missing in the Gamma Quadrant sometime before 2373, it was presumed to have been destroyed by the Dominion. (DS9: "In Purgatory's Shadow")

The Star Trek Encyclopedia states that this vessel was a Renaissance-class starship, with a registry of NCC-45109

The ship may have been named for various ships of the US Navy named the USS Maryland, or for the US state of Maryland.
