Umoth VIII is a planet in the Demilitarized Zone, and the site of a Federation colony. In 2370, 35 colonists were hospitalized after eating food from public replicators on Umoth VIII. Cardassian sabotage was believed responsible. (DS9: "The Maquis, Part II").
