Unimatrix

A unimatrix is a subdivision of the Borg Collective. These Borg divisions can be further broken down into trimatrices. (VOY: "Scorpion, Part II", "Unimatrix Zero")

It is unclear whether a unimatrix is a group of drones or a region of space. Several times, Seven of Nine refers to her "original unimatrix" when talking about her life as a Borg, implying that a unimatrix is a small group of drones (for example, One to Nine of Nine) within the Collective. However, the Collective seems to think that a unimatrix is an area of Borg space - for example, in VOY: "Dark Frontier", the starship Voyager is located in Unimatrix 424, Grid 116 and Grid 03. Likewise, in VOY: "Drone" Voyager is located in Unimatrix 325, Grid 006.
