The Atrean aide was a colleague of Doctor Pran Tainer. He assisted him in an attempt to stabilize the magma on their homeworld Atrea IV which was cooling and posed a significant threat to the continued habitability of the planet. During an earthquake he beamed on board the USS Enterprise-D and helped Dr. Tainer, who was injured, from the transporter platform. (TNG: "Inheritance")
The Atrean aide was played by uncredited extra Jonathan Paley.
