The Terrellian Boxer was a boxing opponent whom Chakotay sparred with while as a cadet at Starfleet Academy. During one match, Boothby, who used to coach the cadet, warned Chakotay that he was taking the Terrellian too lightly and should let him punch himself out. Chakotay did not listen to his trainer and was knocked out by the Terrellian in Round 4.

This memory was used by aliens to instruct Chakotay on how to escape chaotic space, which had a negative effect on Human neural pathways. (VOY: "The Fight")
