The Turei commander was patrolling the underspace corridors that traverse the Delta Quadrant.

When USS Voyager accidentally entered the passage, it was unable to escape from it. The Turei commander's starship forced Voyager back in to normal space. He then demanded that he be allowed to board Voyager in order to remove all data on the underspace. When Captain Janeway refused, the he attacked Voyager and drove it to the Vaadwaur homeworld.

Later he would help Voyager escape the Vaadwaur who attempted to take the ship. (VOY: "Dragon's Teeth")

The Turei commander was played by Bob Stillman.
