The Ursinoids were bear-like humanoids that had large fangs and were completely covered in fur.
At least two Ursinoids were employed as miners on the planet Motherlode in 2269. (TAS: "Mudd's Passion")

The term Ursinoid originally appeared in the storyboard art for "Mudd's Passion" and was later adopted by the Star Trek Concordance.
The character of Urgar (β) in the novel Sword of Damocles was also described as being of ursinoid origin.
