From Memory Alpha, the free Star Trek reference
RomulanHand is the Memory Alpha alias of an American man who owns, on DVD, every single Star Trek episode and movie (except for the 2009 "Star Trek" film, which he has obtained via P2P and never bothered to see in the theater) and has viewed each and every one of them many times. Despite this fact, he does have a life, a real job, wouldn't be caught dead at a sci-fi convention, has kissed many girls and does not live with his mother- unlike far too many Trek people he's met.
This said, he views the entire Star Trek institution as merely massively popular entertainment with a little, sometimes superficial, social commentary thrown into the mix.
RomulanHand does not care to get caught up in nerdy discussions about such things as the highly improbable scientific and technological minutae in Trek, questionable continuity/consistency in many a plot of an episode or film or whether Jolene Blalock, Jeri Ryan or Grace Lee Whitney are hot or not because to him that is to miss the point of many a Trek, and such takes the fun and entertainment aspect out of Trek and turn it into a dork religion (RomulanHand is, by the way, a very religious person, but he doesn't venerate The Prophets or hope to achieve kolinhar). In short, RomulanHand's concern what with being here is exploring for himself and preserving for posterity the cultural phenomenon which is Star Trek.
Also, RomulanHand feels it is worth mentioning that he is a firm believer that TOS and its subsequent films are, were, and always will be by far the best Trek, which is not to say that he does not care for TNG and its offspring or ENT. In fact, he loves them.
Finally, RomulanHand wishes to apologize in advance if he makes any blunders whilst editing pages here. He's still learning the ropes with wiki.
Jolan True.
