I've been a Trek fan ever since I can remember -- my father having gotten me into the original series as a kid by taping all the episodes during reruns. I distinctly remember reading in the newspaper that a new series was in development with "the guy from Reading Rainbow," and thinking it would be dumb without Kirk, Spock and Bones. As it would turn out, TNG became a family standard, tuning in almost every week to seek out new life and new civilizations.

I've yet to get into DS9 or VOY, but I really enjoy the first season of ENT -- only having discontinued my viewing of the show to watch the seasons in bulk... which I'll get around to eventually.
