From Memory Alpha, the free Star Trek reference

Hello.

I've been a Star Trek fan since age 9. The first episode I ever saw was TNG "Skin of Evil" which I borrowed on a VHS tape from my local library.

Around age 11, I read Brian Greene's book "The Elegant Universe" and began applying what I learned there to what I saw on Star Trek. I have since read many other books along the same lines.

Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how you look at it), many things I have learned in life came from Star Trek.

Star Trek also heightened my great interest in technology (I have been playing with computers since I was about 5 - the biggest disappointment that I can remember from that time was that my mom wouldn't let me take the computer apart)

Yup, I have relatively little to say about myself. If I think of anything else, I'll put it on here. -Shadow
