Leslie Hoffman

Leslie Hoffman (born 21 January) was an assistant stunt coordinator and stunt performer on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and Star Trek: Voyager. She was the main stunt double for Roxann Dawson (B'Elanna Torres) on Voyager. She is currently the stunt coordinator on the fan-made series Star Trek: New Voyages.

Hoffman, who hails from Saranac Lake in New York, studied acting at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and Herbert Berghoff Studios in New York City. She found, however, that acting did not suit her – finding it "too slow for her" – and in 1974 she flew to California and became a stuntwoman. Some of Hoffman's earlier stunt work included the TV shows M*A*S*H, Charlie's Angels, and Fantasy Island. The first film she worked on was 1976's Two-Minute Warning.

While performing stunts on Steven Spielberg's 1979 war comedy 1941, Hoffman and another stuntman had "nearly been killed" during a stunt involving a motorcycle sidecar that had to jump into the back of a truck. A mechanical flaw flipped the sidecar carrying herself on top and her partner in the sidecar and sent them flying into the truck's bumper. She later recounted how, despite the incident, they had to return and do the stunt again the following day. Another stunt she found particularly dangerous was a jump performed for The Love Boat, in which she and another stunt double jumped 78' together and landed a few feet apart from each other in the water. Her other non-Star Trek stunt credits include the films Airplane!, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Johnny Dangerously, Alien Nation, The Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad!, Scream 2, and Mystery Men and the TV series CHiPs, The Fall Guy, Remington Steele, The A-Team, and Melrose Place. She also doubled Joan Collins for the 2000 film The Flintstones: Viva Rock Vegas.
