From Memory Alpha, the free Star Trek reference

Hi, I'm Vivienne, (no relation to Carol Marcus!). I'm a thirtysomething doctor from the UK. I adore Star Trek and have done for my adult life. My favourite characters are Jean-Luc Picard and Tuvok, both of whom show evidence of turbulent passions held in check by iron will: "Give me that man that is not passion's slave, and I will wear him in my heart's core."-- Hamlet.

I once wore the Starfleet medical insignia to a job interview- and got the job. I am regular contributor to Wikipedia under a different username.

Star Trek is written by scriptwriters and dramatists, but it is also ours. Therefore, canon represents only part of what Star Trek is. (What it is to me differs from what it is to you). I feel justified in making criticisms of Star Trek where it seems that expediency transcends integrity. This is especially true where my real-life expertise applies.
