A van was a type of covered truck, or automobile, typically designed for carrying numerous passengers or cargo.
Benny Russell was transported to the hospital aboard a type of medical service van known as an ambulance. (DS9: "Far Beyond the Stars")
In 1996, Rain Robinson owned a Volkswagen Type 2 van, which was temporarily hijacked by Tom Paris and Tuvok. (VOY: "Future's End", "Future's End, Part II")
