Vance was a Human male and a pilot in the Maquis. He was a friend of Michael Eddington.

In 2373, Vance was killed by the Jem'Hadar during the Dominion's assault against the Maquis on Athos IV. Eddington and Benjamin Sisko found Vance's body when they arrived on the planet. (DS9: "Blaze of Glory")
