Velocity indicator
From Memory Alpha, the free Star Trek reference
A velocity indicator was a type of technology used on Starfleet shuttlecraft to determine how fast a shuttle was going.
In 2372, Lieutenant Tom Paris looked at his velocity indicator on the shuttlecraft Cochrane after he had activated the shuttle's transwarp drive. The indicator said that he had reached warp 10 and for a moment, Paris felt he was at every point in the galaxy. (VOY: "Threshold")
