Villus Thed was a member of a telepathic species.

In 2370, Odo received a subspace transmission that indicated that Thed was on his way to Deep Space 9. He told two of his Bajoran deputies to notify him when Thed arrived and to keep him under constant surveillance. Odo also reminded them to stay "at least" five meters from him, as he would be able to read their thoughts if they came any closer. (DS9: "Second Sight")
