Vulcan High Council

The Vulcan High Council was the body charged with the preservation of the cultural heritage of the Vulcan people in the 2250s of an alternate reality. It is unknown if this governing body was in any way related to the Vulcan High Command.

Vulcan was destroyed by a red matter implosion caused by the war criminal known as Nero. In order to save the culture of Vulcan, Spock beamed down to the surface to rescue the High Council and his parents, Sarek and Amanda Grayson. A few members were killed by falling rocks, but the majority made it outside for transport. However, just as the transporter was beaming them away, the rock that Grayson was standing on gave way, and she fell into a chasm to her death. (Star Trek)

During the destruction of Vulcan, members of the Vulcan High Council, and Amanda Grayson, were meditating in the katric ark, a chamber within Mount Seleya that housed the katras of the greatest Vulcan masters throughout history.
