The Vulcan fighter was a type of small 22nd century Vulcan starship utilized for the orbital defense of Vulcan, and other military applications. They were armed with a type of particle beam weapon.
Two of these vessels engaged a shuttlepod launched from Enterprise, as it attempted an unauthorized landing on Vulcan in 2154. (ENT: "Awakening")
Several of these fighters accompanied the Vulcan fleet in a failed invasion of Andoria. (ENT: "Kir'Shara")
The model for this vessel was the reuse of the D'Vahl-type, first seen in "Carbon Creek". Minor differences include an overall smaller size and the possession of one less engine pod.
