Vulcan meditation lamp

A Vulcan meditation lamp is a small fuel-powered lamp or candle used by Vulcans as a meditative tool. The lamp's taming of the flame, a chaotic, destructive force, serves as a metaphor for the Vulcans' control of their emotions.

In 2154, T'Pol kept a Vulcan meditation lamp in her quarters aboard the Enterprise NX-01. (ENT: "The Forge")
