William Hodges

Lieutenant William Hodges was a Starfleet plasma field maintenance engineer who was involved in the construction of the USS Enterprise-D at the Utopia Planitia Fleet Yards. There he became romantically involved with Ensign Marla Finn in 2363. Finn's other lover, Walter Pierce caught both of them in a romantic embrace and killed them both by a plasma discharge. Pierce later killed himself. Hodges' death was noted in Starfleet files as an accident and his true fate was not revealed until 2370. (TNG: "Eye of the Beholder")
