Yanas Tigan was an unjoined Trill living in New Sydney in the 24th century. She was the mother of Janel, Ezri and Norvo.

As of 2375, she owned the sixth largest pergium mine in the Sappora system. Yanas did not have a good relationship with Ezri, her only daughter, and this relationship deteriorated even further when Ezri was joined with the Dax symbiont. With the memories of eight other people, Ezri found it difficult to distinguish herself from the others. When she arrived home after being joined in 2375, she presented herself to Yanas as Curzon.

Yanas also tried to discourage her youngest son, Norvo, from drawing despite his skills, preferring him to work for the company instead. After it was revealed that her two sons had been involved with the Orion Syndicate and that Norvo had killed Morica Bilby, Yanas realized she was to blame. (DS9: "Prodigal Daughter")
