Yiri was a Trelonian general sometime prior to 2370.

When circumstantial evidence showed up that Yiri's brother was a traitor, Yiri had him executed. This decision was condemned by Doctor Bashir in a conversation with Elim Garak, who thought that Yiri was right because he protected the state rather than his brother. (DS9: "Profit and Loss")
