Applied Sciences Division was a division of Starfleet. This division was responsible for applying existing scientific knowledge into practical applications. These applications could be technology or inventions. This division had a shipping and receiving section, and monitored and replenished its inventory at its warehouse.
In the alternate reality of 2259, this division, in conjunction with the Office of Special Plans, had developed a new classified weapon system. (Star Trek Into Darkness)
