James D. Frey is an Aviation Maintenance Administrationman 2nd Class of the USS Enterprise CVN-65 who was named "Junior Sailor of the Year" in 2003 along with fellow sailors Kathleen J. Grant and Thomas P. Hunt. Together they had featured parts in the Star Trek: Enterprise second season episode "First Flight" and filmed their scenes on 18 March 2003. Frey portrayed a NX technician. They've also given an American flag to Scott Bakula, Connor Trinneer and the episode's director LeVar Burton.
